    • MILITARY: Revolutionary War Pension Application, Oldham County, KY 19 Sep 1828 and 20 Aug 1832. Enlisted in 1775 Fauquier Co., VA. extensive service over several enlistments. DAR Patriot.

      DEATH-SPOUSE-CHILDREN: Widow Elizabeth Lindsey Austin's Pension application. Youngest child Daniel testified to his parents' marriage, and to his siblings and their respective ages.

      BIRTH-DEATH-BURIAL-MILITARY: Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson, KY. moved and reburied 12/7/1896 "was a British soldier in the French and Indian War, and later a Revolutionary soldier in the Colonial Army. He served under General Daniel Morgan at Saratoga, and at the Cowpens, in the regiment of picked riflemen which General Burgoyne declared was "the finest regiment in the world." He was also a participant in the battle at Germantown and was with the forces to which Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown, ....". (bio by: Carol Gathright)
