| Description | John Austin was born about 1765 in what is now New Jersey. As a young man, he moved to Franklin County, Pennsylvania where he met and married his wife Sarah about 1791. John and Sarah had 14 known children, most of whom arrived at adulthood, married and remained in Monongalia County, West Virginia. John died 6 Jan 1849 in Monongalia Co., and Sarah died there about 1854. They are both buried in Fairview Cemetery, just south of Morgantown, West Virginia. | |
